Book Launch: Chief Kahkewistahaw’s Elders Volumes 3 & 4

On June 20, 2025, Kahkewistahaw First Nation hosted a book launch at the Elders Lodge for the release of "Chief Kahkewistahaw’s Elders" Volumes 3 and 4. Produced by Ted Whitecalf of Sweetgrass Records, these are the first books in the series to be printed entirely in full colour.

Many elders featured in the books were in attendance. Chief Evan Taypotat and Councillor Cory Alexson addressed the crowd.

These volumes are a tribute to the knowledge keepers of Kahkewistahaw and an important legacy for future generations.
